Cacao: the sound of extinction (in production)
Immersive Experience | Food & Set Design: Studio InƩs Lauber | Assistance: Nadine Rauterberg
Cacao is a food and sound installation that takes you on a journey to reconnect with nature. You rediscover the sweet and bitter sounds of biodiversity, menaced by industrialisation and modernity. This multisensory experience brings taste and hearing together in a holistic and unexpected way.
Based on Gastrophysics findings, original music builds around the flavor characteristics of cacao and fuses with sound design to deliver an immersive experience. Direction of recording sessions of voices was required for the narrator voice. Audio design consists of an octophonic speaker arrangement implemented through Ableton Live. One of the acts involves live music.
